Step cooking
- First, prepare the meat: cut 2 kg of breast into cubes of 3-4 cm and put in a deep container.
- Wash the lemon, cut in half and squeeze the juice from each half into a bowl of meat. To give the fruit better juice, before you cut it, pour it over with boiling water.
- Generously salt, pepper, add spicy spices for barbecue and 4 - 5 tbsp. l vegetable oil, preferably olive. Mix all the ingredients well and temporarily set the container aside. In order to marinate, chicken will be enough 20 - 25 minutes.
- We prepare vegetables: peel a large head of onion and cut into 4 parts. Thus, we get large onion wedges.
- We clean the middle and remove the stems from red, yellow and green peppers. We cut into large squares to fit the onion. Oyster mushrooms for stringing cut into four parts. Instead of oyster mushroom, you can take other mushrooms, for example, champignons.
- During the cutting of vegetables, the meat was sufficiently marinated, so we begin to string the future barbecue on a wooden stick. Before collecting the barbecue, moisten the skewers well with water, then they definitely will not light up during cooking. We collect in the following sequence: a piece of breast, mushroom, again breast, pepper, breast, onion, etc. Vegetables and mushrooms do not need to be salted, since salt is enough in the pickled breast.
- Completely cover the baking sheet with foil and put the prepared barbecue on it. Cover with another sheet of foil from above, firmly pressing it to the meat.
- Preheat the oven to 200 - 210 degrees. We send the sheet to the oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, take out the sheet, remove the top layer of foil and again return the meat to the oven for another 20 - 25 minutes.
- Shish kebab is served on a large plate hot, more often as an independent dish. And as an addition, you can take rice with vegetables, young potatoes, lettuce, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, various greens.
Did you know? To ensure that the meat is juicy, and the vegetables are not dried, string all the pieces tightly together without spaces. Put the skewers on the sheet must also be tight enough. Also carefully cover the kebab with foil to preserve moisture.
