Step cooking
- We check the side of the salmon for bones. If they are, they should be carefully removed without damaging the flesh.
- We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, immediately spread the fish on it and rub it with a small amount of salt, about one tablespoon without top.
- We collect half a teaspoon of sugar and sprinkle the fish fillet on top.
- Peel the onion from the husk, wash it under the tap, cut into half rings. Slightly salt the onion and crush it with your hands so that it gives juice.
- In a separate container we place 100 g of mayonnaise, it is good if it will be home-made. If this is not the case, you can buy any in the supermarket, it depends on your preference.
- On a fine grater we rub one clove of garlic pre-peeled and washed. Add garlic to mayonnaise, mix well.
- Cut the lemon, after washing it under the tap, squeeze out two tablespoons of juice, add to the mayonnaise with garlic.
- Mix the onions with this mayonnaise mixture, mix thoroughly, put the mass on the fish fillet, distribute evenly on its surface.
- Top with mustard seeds in grains, it will take only one teaspoon, then sprinkle with two pinches of ground pepper. It is important not to overdo it here - take both mustard and pepper in moderation.
- On a coarse grater, we rub 100 grams of Mozzarella cheese and 50 grams of plain Dutch hard cheese.
- Mix them, fill the fish on top. Two types of cheeses are used to balance the degree of cheese: Mozzarella has not very pronounced salinity, so we add more salty Dutch cheese.
- We send the pan to the oven for 15 minutes at an average temperature (160-180 degrees).
- After 15 minutes, we take the fish out of the oven, sprinkle with finely chopped greens, which you prefer. Top can be sprinkled with a pinch of ground pepper for taste.
Feeding and Decorating Options
When serving to the dinner table, the fish should be cooled, the hard cheese melted around it should be carefully cut with a knife. You should cut the salmon into portioned slices, place them on plates, laying next to a slice of lemon and a leaf of green parsley. This will give the dish an appetizing look, and your family will appreciate the salmon baked under cheese.
