Step cooking
For cooking, it is better to use salmon steak. If there are none, then you can buy a steak of red fish, which is cut into 4 pieces. For example, salmon or trout, if salmon is not to your liking.
- One onion is peeled and cut into rings with a width of 2-3 mm. 4 large potatoes and 1 tomato are cut in the same way.
- On a baking sheet covered with baking paper, lay 4 salmon steaks. On top, fish is salted to taste and sprinkled with a small amount of ground pepper. A small amount of nutmeg, garlic in granules, and paprika are also poured onto each salmon steak. Turn the fish over to the other side and season it in the same way.
- Inside each steak, several slices of chopped potatoes are laid, always salting on top.
- Onion steaks are spread on top of a salmon and potato steak.
- On top of the red fish is covered with another layer of potatoes, which are also slightly salted. Potatoes are covered with tomato, it is not required to salt it on top. If the chopped potato remains, it can be laid on a baking sheet next to the salmon.
- For the dish you will also need a special sauce, which is prepared in a separate deep vessel. Take 1.5 tbsp. l mayonnaise, adding 1 tsp. mustard. Thoroughly mix the sauce. To make the sauce less thick, pour 1-2 tbsp. l drinking water, re-mixing until a homogeneous consistency. Mustard sauce watered the dish. If you do not like mayonnaise, it is possible to replace it with sour cream.
- Preheat the oven to 190 degrees and set the salmon with potatoes to bake for 40-50 minutes.
- Grate 100 g of hard cheese to your taste. 15 minutes before cooking, remove the fish from the oven and sprinkle with grated cheese on top. Cook another quarter of an hour.
- You can understand that the dish has been prepared using soft potatoes. Take the prepared salmon with potatoes from the oven, lay out in portions. It is possible to serve a dish with fresh herbs, for example, green onions, parsley, or sprinkled with a small amount of dill.
