Step cooking
- First, boil two chicken eggs. For a salad, we need hard-boiled eggs, so we cook them for at least 10 minutes. After we allow to cool and peel.
- Cut 200 grams of crab sticks into large enough pieces, about a centimeter wide. When choosing a product for salad, pay special attention to quality and composition, in good crab sticks there should be a lot of surimi meat. In addition, good crab sticks may not be too cheap. It is from this main ingredient that the overall taste of the dish will depend.
- Cut pickled cucumbers (100 grams) into cubes. The pieces need to be slightly smaller than the crab sticks. It is better to choose pickled or lightly salted cucumbers so that the salad does not turn out too salty. You should not add too many pickles to the salad, as this can ruin its whole taste.
- Spread the chopped ingredients in a deep salad bowl. Pour 100 grams of canned corn there, which we previously saved from excess fluid.
- Cut the boiled eggs into small cubes and throw in a salad bowl with the rest of the ingredients.
- In a separate deep container we rub on a fine grater 70 grams of hard cheese. Any kind of hard cheese is good: suluguni, Dutch, parmesan. Grated cheese is added to the total capacity, but the whole: leave a small amount in order to decorate the finished and seasoned salad with it.
- All the ingredients in the salad bowl are thoroughly mixed so that all products are evenly distributed.
- Season the salad with two tablespoons of mayonnaise. The higher the fat percentage of mayonnaise dressing for dressing, the more tender the finished dish will turn out. At the same stage, you can add black allspice. In addition, salt is not recommended, since the components of the salad contain enough salt.
- We put the seasoned salad in a dish or serving container, decorate with the remaining grated hard cheese on top.
Options for serving and supplementing dishes
- To make the salad not too salty, add not pickled, but fresh cucumbers to it. Such a change in composition will give a fresh spring flavor to the dish.
- Mayonnaise can be safely replaced with homemade diet sauce. You can do it this way: mix two tablespoons of low-fat sour cream, a teaspoon of mustard and a few drops of lemon juice. Mix thoroughly and use as a salad dressing. This option is not only less caloric, but also better combined with fresh cucumber and herbs.
- This salad of crab sticks and pickles can be used as a filling for tartlets or custard snacks. Fresh products are stuffed with salad and decorated with fresh herbs.
