Step cooking
- Boil 450 g of liver (turkey, chicken, beef, veal) in salted water for 20 minutes.
- Cut the onions into quarters of the rings.
- In a preheated pan, pour a little vegetable oil and spread the onions. Fry over low heat under a lid.
- Rub on a coarse grater 3 carrots and send to the pan to the onion. Do not forget to stir.
- Salt and pepper the grill to taste. When the vegetables get a beautiful golden hue - turn off the heat and let the roast cool.
- Cut the cooled liver into small enough blocks, spread in a deep bowl.
- We shift the cooled vegetables there.
- 4-5 pieces of pickled cucumbers are cut into cubes and added to the salad.
- We also add 0.5 cans of canned peas, after draining the liquid.
- We fill the salad with mayonnaise, mix gently and leave for half an hour in the refrigerator for impregnation.
- In order for the salad to look unusual and festive, put it in a shape, slightly compact and turn it on a dish, and then decorate as imagination allows. The main thing is that the decorations should be from the same products that are present in the salad itself. For example - peas, figuratively chopped pickled cucumbers, mayonnaise.
Useful Tips
- Mayonnaise can be replaced with sour cream, but then it needs to be salted to taste.
- It is better to throw the grill immediately onto a sieve in order to get rid of excess oil.
- The liver should be boiled in salted water, adding a couple of bay leaves.
- It does not hurt to decorate such a salad with greens.
