Step cooking
- 4 large beets wash well, cut the tails. Send the beets to the pan, pour cold water and simmer until cooked. Beets can be baked in the oven or in the microwave, these methods are much faster and more useful. To prepare this salad, raw beets are suitable. Peel the finished beets and rub on a fine grater. In order to rid the beets of excess juice, and the salad was not watery and kept its shape well, you need to put it in a fine sieve and squeeze a little.
- Chop 50 g of walnuts with a knife and send to beets. If you do not like nuts, you can not add them.
- Add two tablespoons of mayonnaise, mix well. The ingredients for the first layer are ready.
- We proceed to the preparation of the second layer. 4 medium-sized carrots are peeled and grated on a fine grater. Add 50 g of raisins to carrots.
- Season the carrots with raisins with mayonnaise and mix well.
- For the last layer we combine 250 g of any hard cheese grated on a fine grater with chopped garlic, you need 3-4 cloves. You can adjust the amount of all ingredients to your liking.
- Add a few tablespoons of mayonnaise to the cheese, mix. After all the layers are prepared, proceed to the assembly of the salad.
- Salad can be formed in any form, a plate. For a beautiful and even shape, you can use a split ring. We spread the beets with the first layer, distribute it evenly and press it a little. The thickness and order of the layers depends on your preference. If you want the layers to stand out clearly, then make them thicker. To have many layers, make them thin.
- We spread carrots with the second layer, slightly condensed.
- Then spread a layer of cheese. Thus, we lay out all the layers alternately until the ingredients run out.
- When the salad is formed, carefully remove the ring so as not to disturb the layers. Grease the top layer with mayonnaise and send the salad in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- Then you can start decorating the salad. From the boiled beets and carrots, we cut out various figures with molds: flowers, circles, triangles - and lay them out on the salad in any shape. You can use fresh herbs, walnuts or whatever you like to decorate the salad.
- Cut the salad into pieces and serve. It is perfect as a side dish for a meat dish.
