Step cooking
- We defrost the fish, wash it under running water, clean it from fins, scales. Immediately peel the carrots, peel the onions off, wash the vegetables under running water, put them on a plate on a table so that they are next to them. We do the same with tomatoes. Prepare the flour for frying the fish and can proceed to cooking.
- Cut three medium pollock on a cutting board with medium portioned pieces. We take about one and a half teaspoons of salt and salt the fish, rubbing each piece. If this is not enough, you will have to add the sauce in which pollock will be stewed.
- We turn on the slow cooker for 15 minutes in the “frying” mode, pour 50-70 ml of vegetable oil there, so that its bottom is covered. As soon as the oil heats up, we send the pieces of pollock into it, having previously rolled them in flour. Fry fish on both sides until golden brown. After 7 minutes, we turn the fish on the other side.
- Meanwhile, while the fish is fried, we cut into two onions in quarters and rub the carrots on a coarse grater.
- Cut fresh tomatoes into pieces, place in a blender, prepare tomato puree. Of course, instead of tomatoes, you can take tomato paste or mashed potatoes, but with a fresh product, the fish is tastier.
- When the fish is fried, we get it, and in the slow cooker with the same oil we send the onions and carrots to be fried. Fry until vegetables are ready. You can add bell pepper to this, but if this is not there, you should not get upset, the fish will turn out delicious.
- When the vegetables are ready, and this is after about 7-8 minutes, add tomato puree from tomatoes, 2-3 bay leaves, 3-4 cloves, 5-6 peas of black pepper and 4-5 peas of allspice to the slow cooker. Mix the whole mixture well when it starts to boil, add a teaspoon of sugar and vinegar, one and a half teaspoons of salt.
- Mix the sauce with a kitchen spoon for a multicooker. She still works in frying mode. We put there pieces of fried fish so that the sauce covers it.
- Turn off the frying mode, close the slow cooker, turn on the “stewing” function for 20 minutes at a temperature of 100 degrees, so that the fish stews.
- When serving, put the product on a plate and generously season with vegetable sauce.
