Step cooking
- To cook fish with carrots, we will use coho salmon today. You can use any other fish - hake, salmon or cod are great. The main thing is that it be dense and without small bones. We wash the fish, cut into portions. We will need approximately 1.3-1.5 kg.
- Sift the flour into a separate bowl, sprinkle it with 0.5 tsp. salt and 0.5 tbsp. liters of sugar, mix. Dip portioned fish into flour on both sides.
- We put the pan on the fire, pour vegetable oil into it, let it heat and fry each piece on both sides until golden. We recommend putting fried fish on paper towels to remove excess fat.
- Then prepare the vegetables. We clean 5 pieces of carrots, rinse, grate with cubes on a grater for Korean carrot. If this is not, then use the usual, large.
- Then peel the four onions, rinse, cut into half rings.
- Pour the vegetable oil into the stewpan, heat it and send the onion to it. Fry until transparent for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Then add carrots to the onion, mix, fry for a couple of minutes. Carrots strongly absorb vegetable oil, so add a couple more tablespoons if necessary.
- Pour two glasses of water and 3-4 tablespoons of tomato paste into vegetable frying, mix, then add another glass of water, cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
- After that, add one tablespoon of sugar and one teaspoon of salt, five peas of black pepper, two cloves, two bay leaves, mix. You can add any other spices as you wish.
- When the vegetables are ready, turn on the oven to heat 180 degrees. In a small baking sheet, evenly spread half the vegetable frying on the bottom.
- From above we put slices of fried fish in an even layer and cover it with a layer of roasting from the second half of vegetables.
- Cover the baking sheet with foil, send to the oven for 30-40 minutes.
- After this time, we take the fish and carrots out of the oven, serve it hot to the table.
- On a serving plate we spread a piece of fish with carrot roasting. The fish is very juicy, tender. Food can be stored in the refrigerator in a closed container for 5-7 days. You can even eat it cold.
