Step cooking
- Pour 200 grams of pure water into a saucepan or iron bowl and add 60 grams of granulated sugar.
- Mix and put on the stove. Bring to a state where all sugar is dissolved in water. We wash four sweet apples, cut into quarters, remove the core and cut into slices 2 mm wide.
- In the boiled sugar syrup, place all the apple slices. Since there are a lot of apples, we do it in two steps.
- We put it back on the stove and cook until the slices are soft enough to curl. Then we take out the apples using a slotted spoon on a separate plate.
- When all the apples are boiled, we begin to do the test. A layer of puff pastry is cut into strips two centimeters wide. In this case, you can use the usual ruler, then your roses will be the same size.
- Sprinkle all the stripes of dough with sugar.
- On each strip, lay out 6-7 apple slices so that they slightly go on top of each other. Sprinkle with sugar again and wrap with a roll
. - We pinch the bottom of the rose so that it does not fall apart. We are doing these manipulations with the whole test.
- We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and lay out our roses at a distance from each other. You can also grease the paper with butter. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and set to bake for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix 60 grams of powdered sugar and 10-15 grams of ground cinnamon. When the roses are ready, sprinkle them with cinnamon and powdered sugar and serve.

- This dish is quite simple, especially if you are using ready-made, store-bought dough. But you can improve it if you cook puff pastry with your own hands at home. Yes, this is a laborious process, but the result will amaze you and your loved ones.
- For the preparation of such roses, it is recommended to use varieties of apples with hard flesh. The fact is that soft apples, when boiled in syrup, simply fall apart, and it’s not possible to make roses out of them. If you still have soft apples, then cook them for no more than two minutes.
- Served such a treat in a warm form as a dessert.
- A good addition would be hot tea with sugar, weak coffee, milk, cocoa and hot chocolate.
