Ingredients
- Wheat flour - 400 g
- Sugar - 250 g
- Butter - 100 g
- Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
- Water - 360 ml
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Dry quick-acting yeast - 6 g
- Raisins - 50 g
- Vanilla extract - 1 tsp.
- Dark rum - 1-2 tbsp. l
- Sugar Fudge - 200 g
Step cooking
- To begin with, put the butter in a saucepan and set it on fire to melt. Set the liquid oil aside. Break one chicken egg into a bowl and separate the yolk of the second egg. Set aside one protein, it will be needed to lubricate the rum woman.
- Pour 50 g of sugar into the eggs, vanilla extract and stir with a fork. If there is no vanilla extract, vanilla sugar can be used.
- Pour 160 ml of water into the egg mass and mix well until sugar is completely dissolved. After that, put the bowl aside.
- Sift flour into a deep bowl. Add salt and yeast. All mix well.
- In the flour we make a small depression. Gradually add a mixture of liquid ingredients into this pit and knead the dough.
- Well at the same time, we’ll blast it off with our hands.
- When the dough is almost ready, gradually introduce the melted butter. Pour in a little, each time kneading.
- The result should be a soft dough that does not stick to your hands.
- Cover the bowl with cling film or a damp towel and place in a warm place so that the dough rises.
- Soak raisins in boiling water for 20-25 minutes, then dry with a paper towel. When the dough has risen (after an hour and a half), remove the film and cure. We mix raisins in the dough. You can add or not add raisins as you wish.
- After mixing with raisins, cover the bowl again with cling film or a towel, and let the dough stand in a warm place for about an hour so that it rises again.
- After the dough has risen again, remove the film and cure.
- Lubricate the molds with vegetable oil.
- We form balls of dough and fill them with a third of the baking dish.
- Cover the forms with cling film and leave the dough to rise for 1 hour.
- Turn on the oven to warm up to 180-190 degrees. We shoot the film when the women got up. Beat egg white with a fork and gently grease the surface of the dough.
- We put the mold in a preheated oven to bake for 25 minutes.
- After that, check the dough for readiness by piercing with a wooden stick. And if the baking is ready, take it out of the oven and let it cool slightly.
- We take out the products from the molds and leave them upside down for several hours so that they dry out.
- To prepare sugar syrup, mix the remaining sugar and water in a saucepan, set on fire to heat.
- Constantly mix so that the sugar is completely dissolved, bring to a boil, boil for 2 minutes and turn off the heat. Leave the syrup to cool.
- To cover the women, we take out the fudge and transfer it to the bucket, add a little water and put on fire. Fudge quickly melts when heated, so you need to ensure that it does not overheat. It should not be hotter than 50 degrees. As soon as the fudge has dispersed, remove it from the fire.
- We pierce the women with a wooden stick so that they are better saturated.
- Add the dark rum to the cooled syrup and mix.If you do not want alcohol, then you can replace rum with your favorite fruit syrup.
- Pour the syrup into a bowl and dip the women in it. They need to hold for 10-15 seconds.
- We take out the women from the syrup and leave on the wire rack to stack extra syrup.
- We cover them with fudge and leave for some time so that the women are saturated. Enjoy your meal!
