Ingredients
Wheat flour | 250 g |
Dry yeast | 3 g |

Butter | 20 g |
Vegetable oil | 15 ml |
Warm water | 125 g |
Vanilla sugar | 1 sachet |
Salt | ½ tsp |
Apple jam | 250 g |
Step cooking
- Sift flour and activate yeast. To do this, add the yeast to warm water, mix well with a spoon and leave for 5 minutes. If the yeast is not instant, leave it for the time that is indicated in the instructions. After 5 minutes, add 1 teaspoon of sugar and 5 teaspoons of flour to a bowl with yeast. Mix well and leave for 15 minutes. The consistency should be creamy. Pour this mixture into a deep bowl, add a pinch of salt and add sugar. Mix well with a spoon.
- Beat the egg with a fork and add half the egg to the future dough.
- Continue kneading the dough with a whisk. Add a bag of vanilla sugar, pour in vegetable oil and add half the sifted flour. Mix well and add softened butter at room temperature.
- Stir the dough and gradually add the remaining flour. Knead the dough with your hands until smooth. This will take about 7-10 minutes. Sprinkle flour on the dough sheet and lay the dough out. Knead the dough with your hands, round it, put in a bowl sprinkled with flour. Cover with cling film or towel for 1.5 hours in a warm place.
- When the dough comes up, you need to crush it, put it on the surface again with flour. Knead the dough, divide it into 8 pieces. The weight of each piece will be approximately 55 grams. Put the pieces of dough in two rows and cover with cling film so that it does not dry out. Leave the dough for 10 minutes to make the pieces softer.
- Take a piece and roll it with a rolling pin. The thickness of the test will be approximately 3 millimeters. Put a little jam on the edge of the rolled piece and wrap it once. At the free edge, make about 7 incisions.
- Twist the bagels to the sides and up, creating the necessary shape. Put bagels on a baking sheet previously covered with parchment paper. The distance between bagels should be approximately 5 centimeters from each other. Cover bagels on a baking sheet with a film, without tightening. Leave on for 30 minutes.
- 5 minutes before baking, grease the bagels with an egg.
- Preheat the oven to 170-180 degrees and bake bagels for about 15-20 minutes. Get bagels and leave to cool. When they have cooled, sprinkle with powdered sugar. Done, you can serve it to the table! Enjoy your meal!
