Ingredients
- Round grain rice - 200-250 g
- Steamed Rice - 100 g
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Carrots - 2 pcs.
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ground red pepper to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- Water - 4 00 ml
Step cooking
- First, peel the carrots from the skin, and then thoroughly rinse and dry. Then cut into large strips. Optionally, you can grate carrots on a coarse grater or on a shredder for Korean carrots.
- Next, peel 1 medium onion and cut it into small cubes. We peel 2 cloves of garlic from the husk and rub them on a fine grater. If desired, they can be finely chopped or chopped using a garlic press.
- After that we put a deep frying pan on the stove and grease it with a small amount of vegetable oil. Put the chopped carrots in a well-heated pan and fry over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes. Then add the chopped onion and, stirring constantly, fry for another 2-3 minutes.
- Next, add chopped garlic to the pan, mix and fry for another 3 minutes. Make sure that the garlic does not burn, as this will give the whole dish an unpleasant bitterness.
- Next, thoroughly rinse 200-250 g round grain and 100 g steamed rice. Rinse until water is clear. We put the washed rice in a pan for onions and carrots. Mix, salt and pepper to taste. This dish is very tasty due to the combination of black and red ground pepper. But if you do not like hot, red pepper can not be added or replaced with any other seasoning that you prefer.
- Then we pour 400 ml of clean filtered water into the pan and mix everything thoroughly. After the rice boils, reduce the heat to a minimum, close the lid and simmer for about 15 minutes.
- We lay out the finished rice in portioned plates and serve. Such rice with carrots and onions is perfect as a side dish for meat and fish dishes. Optionally, before serving, you can add a little chopped greens to it. Enjoy your meal.
