Step cooking
- We take out the frozen cherry berries from the freezer in advance, leave at room temperature until they defrost.
- To make fruit jelly, we use 15 grams of gelatin. We place it in a separate small container, pour 50 ml of cold water. With a teaspoon, mix the resulting mass well, remove to the side so that the gelatin is infused and swollen.
- We put a piece of gauze in a separate container, put the defrosted berries of cherry on it, collect the edges of the gauze in one hand, hold it tightly over the bowl, and try to squeeze out as much juice from the berries as possible with the other hand.
- Wastes from cherries are placed separately in a small pan.
- Pour the remaining after squeezing the juice of the cake with water in a volume of 400 ml, put the pan on the fire. We give the water to boil, cook the cake for 5-6 minutes maximum, then remove the resulting liquid from the fire.
- We filter this compote through a colander or sieve, wash my pan.
- We pour the expressed compote into the same pan, add the juice from the berries that we got earlier to it, and then pour 100 grams of granulated sugar into the pan with the liquid.
- Mix until the sugar is completely dissolved, and then put the swollen gelatin in the pan.
- Now we put the pot with the resulting mixture on fire, bring to a boil and cook one or two minutes over medium heat. We carefully monitor that all ingredients are completely dissolved.
- Two minutes after cooking, remove the pan from the heat, pour the jelly into small salad bowls or special tins, let stand to cool at room temperature.
- When the product has cooled, put the mold in the refrigerator for two to three hours. After this time, we take the jelly out of the refrigerator, place it in a wide container and pour hot water into it. We hold the salad bowl with jelly for one minute, then cover it with a flat dish and turn it over
- Ready jelly will be on a flat plate, and now we can treat guests, friends and relatives.
Useful Tips
- For the preparation of jelly, you can use not only frozen cherries, but also fresh fruits: apricots, plums, cherries, peaches, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, currants. You can also successfully mix two or three fruits for juice, which is needed for an unusual tasty product.
- To successfully prepare jelly, pay attention to the expiration dates of gelatin upon purchase, the expired ingredient is not suitable for the product.
- Jelly will be much better if you store it in the refrigerator not for 2-3 hours, but for 10-12 hours, that is, leave it for the whole night, only then use it.
