Kitchen appliances and utensils
- pan;
- fine grater or knife for peeling;
- coarse grater;
- juicer;
- spoon or spatula;
- glass storage container;
- stove or hob.
Ingredients
- Lingonberry - 300 g
- Sugar - 100 g
- Orange - 1 pc.
- Apple - 1 pc.
- Cinnamon - 1/2 tsp.
Step cooking
- Lingonberries (you need about 300 g) are thoroughly washed under running water and placed in a saucepan of a suitable size.
- I carefully wash the orange (1 pc.) And remove the zest from it with a special knife or an ordinary fine grater. Add 100 g of sugar to the lingonberry berries, grated zest with one orange and 1/2 tsp. cinnamon (cinnamon can be added more or less, it all depends on your taste preferences).
- I thoroughly wash the apple and peel it of the core and seeds (the peel can not be removed at the same time). Rub the peeled apple on a coarse grater. Add the chopped apple to the pan with lingonberries and other ingredients.
- Using a juicer, squeeze the juice from one of the halves of an orange.
- Squeezed juice is also added to the pan with berries.
- Mix the entire contents of the pan very well with a spoon or spatula.
- We put the pan with berries on the stove and turn on the fire. When the contents of the pan begin to boil, reduce the heat and keep the berries on the stove for exactly 5 minutes (no more). After a specified period of time, turn off the fire and let the jam cool.
- Then we place it in a glass container and store in the refrigerator, tightly closing the capron lid.
Serve such jam from cranberries, apples and orange zest can be to cheesecakes, pancakes, toasts, pastries, etc. It can also be used as a filling for pies, for cooking jelly or added to milk porridge. Enjoy your meal!
