water | 1,5-2 l |
vegetable oil | 3-4 tbsp. l |
bouillon | 2 stack |
Step cooking
- First of all, clean the beef heart from excess fat and films, carefully remove all the vessels inside and rinse it well with water.
- Soak the peeled heart in a bowl of cold water for about 2 hours.
- Place the soaked heart in a pan and pour water into it so that the meat is completely covered. Add 2-3 bay leaves and a little pepper to the pan. Cook the heart over medium heat for 2 hours.
- When the heart has boiled, remove it from the pan and let it cool, then cut it into small pieces. Do not pour the broth, you will still need it.
- Finely chop the onion into cubes.
- Grate the carrots on a coarse grater.
- Heat a deep frying pan on the stove and pour a little vegetable oil into it.
- Then put sliced hearts, onions and carrots into the pan.
- Fry everything over medium heat for about 5 minutes.
- Then add 2-3 tablespoons of tomato paste to the meat and mix well.
- Top with 1-2 tablespoons of flour and stir with all the ingredients so that there are no lumps.
- Pour 2 cups of broth in the pan, in which the heart was cooked, and salt to taste.
- Stir the meat with gravy, cover the pan and simmer over low heat for about 10 minutes.
You can serve the finished dish with mashed potatoes, rice, buckwheat, pasta and any other side dishes at your discretion.
