Ingredients
- White radish daikon - 300 - 400 g
- Lemon - 1/2 pcs.
- Dill (optional) - to taste
- Salt - 1 tsp.
Step cooking
- Thoroughly peel daikon radish from the peel with a knife or a special vegetable peeler.
- Then rub the peeled radish on a coarse grater.
- We chop the chopped vegetable into a deep container in which we will then mix the ingredients together. Add to the grated radish about 1 tsp. salts (salts can be added less or more, you should focus solely on your taste). Mix the radish with salt with a spoon or spatula.
- Slightly crush the radish with your hands so that it releases the juice (it is this juice that gives bitterness, and it is necessary to drain it from the salad to the maximum).
- Squeeze the juice from the radish as much as possible and drain it.
- We cut the lemon in half and carefully squeeze the juice from its half into a container with radish. Mix the contents of the container.
- We take a small bunch of dill (only optional), thoroughly rinse it under running water, chop finely and also add to the salad. Mix again. Salad ready! We lay it out on plates and proceed to the meal! Enjoy your meal!
Decoration and serving
It is recommended to serve daikon grated radish salad to the table and eat immediately after its preparation. By experiment, you can add other products to this salad that daikon goes well with: apples, carrots, celery, red onions, etc. You can decorate this dish by sprinkling it with black sesame seeds or chopped walnuts on top.
