Ingredients
- Carrots - 500 g
- Chicken eggs - 2 pcs.
- Sugar - 1/2 tbsp. l
- Semolina - 2 tbsp. l
- Salt to taste
- Soda - 1/2 tsp.
- Vegetable oil - 1 tbsp. l
Step cooking
- To begin with, carefully wash the carrots, put it in a pan and fill it with cold water. Then put the pan on the fire and cook until the carrots are soft. You can check the readiness of carrots by piercing it with a match or a wooden skewer. If the skewer easily passes through the carrots, then it is cooked. Make sure that there is always enough water left in the pan, otherwise the carrots may burn out and bitter.
- We take out the boiled carrots from the water and leave to cool completely, and then remove the skin from it and rub on a coarse grater.
- In a separate container, break 2 chicken eggs, add 1/2 tbsp to them. l sugar and 2 tbsp. l semolina without a hill. Next, beat the eggs with a mixer. Add 1/2 tsp to the eggs. baking soda, and again, mix everything thoroughly.
- Next, put the grated carrots in a bowl with beaten eggs and mix gently.
- The resulting mixture is transferred to a baking dish or pan with a removable handle, previously lubricated with flavourless vegetable oil. Carefully level over the entire surface, paying particular attention to the edges.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Put the casserole in a well-heated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes. The total baking time depends on the power and characteristics of each particular oven.
- Remove the casserole from the oven and let cool slightly. Then cut into portions and serve. Serving such a casserole can be done either warm or as a cold snack. Carrot casserole goes well with sour cream, natural yogurt or sauce. Optionally, before serving, you can decorate it with a sprig of greenery. Enjoy your meal.
