Step cooking
- Rice (3 tbsp. L.) Is placed in a pan, pour 500 ml of water, add a pinch of salt and boil on the stove until tender (about 20 minutes). Then we wash the finished rice and discard it in a colander to remove excess moisture.
- Peel the carrots (1 pc.), Wash and three on a grater.
- Peel the onion (2 pcs.) And wash it, and then cut into small pieces.
- We put the pan on the fire and add 2 tbsp to it. l vegetable oil.
- Then put the chopped onion and grated carrots in the pan and fry them over medium heat until golden brown.
- Then chop 1/3 of the cabbage finely and finely and put it into a small container, where it is slightly salted and creased with your hands (this will let the cabbage drain the juice and become a little softer).
- Stuffing is transferred to a deep container. We also send chopped cabbage, fried onions and carrots, cooked rice and 2 raw chicken eggs there.
- Salt, pepper to taste, and then mix everything thoroughly.
- From the resulting mixture we form “meatballs” and lightly fry them on both sides for 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil until golden (until complete readiness, it is not necessary to fry, since cabbage rolls will still be baked in the oven).
- Put the fried meatballs into the baking dish and start preparing the sauce.
- In a deep container, add 5 tbsp. l sour cream, 400 ml of tomato juice, a little salt and black pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
- Pour our cabbage rolls with this mixture and put them in the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 35 - 40 minutes.
- After a specified period of time, we take the stuffed cabbage from the oven, let it cool slightly and proceed to the meal.
Decoration and serving options
Lazy cabbage rolls must be served hot. Best of all, they will be combined with a light vegetable salad. If desired, stuffed cabbage before serving can be sprinkled with chopped herbs and pour sour cream.
