Step cooking
- Pour 250 ml of kefir into a deep bowl, add 1 tsp to the same. baking soda, mix well and set aside for 10 minutes for a better reaction of quenching soda with acid.
- Break one egg into the second deep bowl, add 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. vanilla sugar, 5 tbsp. l sugar, 1 - 2 tsp. lemon zest and 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Mix everything thoroughly with a whisk or a fork.
- Pour a mixture of eggs, salt, sugar and vanillin into kefir. We mix everything well again. Add one cup of flour to the resulting mixture. Mix. Add two more glasses of flour and mix well. Pour the fourth glass into the mixture gradually, in small portions, while continuing to knead the dough. At this stage, the main thing is not to overdo it with flour. The dough should be light and slightly sticky to the hands. Perhaps you will have flour, or, conversely, it will not be enough - it all depends on the consistency of kefir and the size of the egg.
- The resulting dough is divided into two parts.
- Lightly sprinkle flour on the table. On it we put one of the parts of the dough and sprinkle lightly with flour on top. Roll out a layer 1 cm thick.
- We cut the dough with the help of cookie cutters or with a glass. We do the same with the second part of the test.
- Pour enough vegetable oil into the pan and fry the buns for the crumpets until golden brown on both sides. Remove the finished donuts from the pan onto a plate covered with a paper towel to get rid of the remaining oil after frying.
- After the remaining oil is removed, the donuts are transferred to a wide dish for serving.
For a beautiful presentation to the table, donuts can be sprinkled with powdered sugar on top. This dessert goes well with jam, jam, condensed milk. It can be taken with tea, milk, cocoa and other favorite drinks.
