Kitchen appliances and utensils: electric or gas surface, oven, electric kettle, kitchen scale, measuring cup, ladle, two pans for 1 and 3 liters, medium and large bowls, small bowl, cooking spatula, ceramic pot with a volume of 2-2.5 l, colander, tablespoon.
Ingredients
Millet groats | 400 g |
Milk 3.2% | 2 l |
Raisins | ½ stack. |
Granulated sugar | 4 tbsp. l |
Water | 500-600 ml |
Step cooking
- Pour 400 g of millet groats into a deep bowl and rinse it well with cold water several times. To prevent porridge from boiling, pour boiling water over it. Leave the croup to stand for 10-15 minutes.
- Place ½ cup of raisins in a small bowl, rinse and pour boiling water over it. In order for the raisins to evaporate, it will be enough 10 minutes.
- While the ingredients are ready to use, bring 2 liters of milk to a boil. Porridge will taste better if you take homemade milk or a product with a high percentage of fat content. Drain the cereals and rinse thoroughly with cold water. Pour it into a large bowl and add steamed raisins to it, after draining water from it with a colander. Mix the ingredients well and put them in a ceramic pot.
- Add to the pot 4 tbsp. l sugar, mix the composition and fill it with boiling milk to the top. You can add the remaining milk as
millet swelling and depending on the desired density of the dish. It will take only about 2 liters of milk to prepare.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and place a pot in it. As soon as the porridge boils, reduce the temperature to 160 degrees, after another 20 minutes, reduce the heat to 120 degrees and bake it for 25-30 minutes.
Ready millet porridge has a delicious ruddy crust and an unforgettable taste. If desired, a little vanilla sugar and any dried fruit or candied fruit can be added to the composition during cooking. From this porridge will only benefit and become even more delicious and healthy.
