Step cooking
- Pour about 1 tsp into the pan. vegetable oil, olive is good, but you can also sunflower. Instead of vegetable oil, if desired, you can use butter. Lightly heat the oil over medium heat, then pour 300 g of bulgur into the pan. Fry the cereal over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes, stirring with a kitchen spatula.
- Pour about 600 ml of water to the browned bulgur, then cover the pan with a lid and let the croup cook over medium heat for 15 minutes.
- In the meantime, prepare the vegetables for the porridge. Peel 2 pcs. small onions, then rinse and cut into small cubes. Then also peel 2 small carrots, rinse thoroughly under running water and grate it on a coarse grater.
- Pour about 1 tbsp into the pan. l vegetable oil, then heat it over medium heat. Place chopped onions and carrots in a preheated pan. Sauté the vegetables until light golden brown, occasionally stirring with a kitchen spatula.
- After 15 minutes, check the bulgur for readiness, all the water should be absorbed. Gently using a spatula, shift the frying of vegetables into a pan with bulgur. Then add salt and black pepper to the pan to taste and mix everything thoroughly. Cover the pan and let the garnish brew for about 5-10 minutes, then serve the dish to the table.
If desired, you can also add bell peppers, tomatoes, green beans and mushrooms to the bulgur roast. This will make the dish even more saturated and mouth-watering. And for a more savory taste, you can use garlic. In addition to salt and pepper, you can add a little of your favorite spices and spices.
You can serve bulgur as an independent dish, or as a wonderful side dish for meat and fish. You can decorate the dish with a sprig of fresh herbs or finely chopped herbs. You can cook bulgur not only in a pot, but also in a slow cooker, and in a pan, and even bake in the oven. Quite often, this cereal is used for cooking pilaf.
