Ingredients
- Kefir - 250 ml
- Wheat flour - 550 - 600 g
- Salt - 1/4 tsp
- Chicken Egg - 1 pc.
- Vanillin - 1 pinch
- Sugar - 5 tbsp. l
- Vegetable oil - 0, 5 l and 3 tbsp. l
- Soda - 1 tsp. (no slide)
- Icing sugar for decoration
Step cooking
- Pour 250 ml of kefir into a deep container. Add 1 tsp to kefir. (without slide) soda, approximately 1/4 tsp. salt and a small pinch of vanillin (about 1 g).
- Next, drive 1 chicken egg into the container with kefir and mix thoroughly all together.
- Following the egg, add to the mixture 5 tbsp. l sugar and 3 tbsp. l vegetable oil. Mix well again.
- Next, gradually introduce 550 g of flour into the mixture and knead the dough.
- Knead the dough for at least 5 minutes. It is necessary to ensure that it ceases to cling to the hands. If after 5 minutes of kneading the dough still continues to stick, add some more flour to it (no more than 1 tbsp. L at a time). When the dough stops sticking, put it on the table and knead thoroughly for a few more minutes.
- Then we cover it with cling film and leave it to “rest” for about 5 minutes.
- After a specified period of time, remove the cling film and roll out the dough into a layer with a thickness of about 5 - 7 mm using a rolling pin.
- We take a glass, turn it over, and pressing it into the dough, cut out circles with a glass.
- Then we take a clean cap from the plastic bottle and use it to cut out the middle of the resulting circles.
- We remove the middles and cuts of the dough between the circles (put the resulting rings aside, because these are the blanks for the donuts) and form a whole piece of them. Then we roll out the resulting piece of dough into a layer, from which we again form donuts. We repeat this manipulation until we use almost all the dough without a trace. In a deep frying pan over medium heat, heat about 0.5 l of refined vegetable oil.
- When the oil is sufficiently hot, put the resulting rings in small “batches”.
- Fry them until deep golden color on both sides. We put the finished donuts on a flat dish, covered with paper towels, in order to remove excess fat.
- When the donuts have cooled slightly, sprinkle them with powdered sugar (it is better to do this with a sieve so that the powder is evenly distributed) and serve.
