Step cooking
- First of all, it is necessary to prepare 5 kg of tomatoes. It is better to use a variety of "cream". Rinse the tomatoes thoroughly, cut the stem and cut each tomato into 2 halves. If the tomatoes are large, then cut them into 4 parts.
- It is also required to prepare onions for winter snacks. For such a quantity of tomatoes, 4 medium-sized onions will be required. We cut each onion into thick rings, about 7-8 mm thick. Put a few rings on the bottom of each jar. Glass jars can not be sterilized, but rather rinse them thoroughly.
- Pour about 1 tsp into each jar. sunflower oil. Refined or unrefined oil can be used. Sliced halves of tomatoes spread in a jar. So that the seeds do not fall out and the tomatoes inside are juicy, they must be laid out with the cut part to the top. We fill each jar with tomatoes to the very top. On top you can put a ring of onions.
- In each jar you need to put bay leaf and allspice. Enough will be 7 bay leaves and 7 peppercorns.
- We proceed to the preparation of the brine, with which we will fill the tomatoes. In a separate pot, boil 2 liters of water. In boiling water add 200 g of sugar, 100-120 g of salt. Salts can be added more or less depending on your own taste. Pour 80 ml of vinegar into a brine of 9%. All the ingredients in the pan are thoroughly mixed until sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Pour tomatoes with the resulting brine. Pour brine into each jar is necessary to the very top.
- In a separate pot with a thick bottom, boil about 3-4 liters of water. After the water boils, put in a pan jars of tomatoes. We cover each jar with a lid and leave to sterilize for 15 minutes. The fire should be medium or small.
- After a quarter of an hour, we alternately take out the cans from the pan using a special grip. We roll each jar with a special key and turn it upside down.
- Tomatoes are ready for the winter, and after a few weeks you can eat them. The appetizer is very tasty and aromatic. You can store such tomatoes in the basement, cellar or at room temperature.
