Step cooking
- First, we are preparing dough for buns. We need half a liter of warm milk, which we pour into a deep bowl. The optimum temperature of milk is 35-40 degrees, in no case should it be boiling water, since the yeast will not work. Pour 11 g of dry yeast into milk, thoroughly mixing with a tablespoon.
- Pour about 0.5 kg of flour into a mixture of milk and yeast and continue to mix well. The dough should turn out a little thicker than the one used on the pancakes. We cover the bowl with the dough with a plate or wrap it with cling film and set it in a warm place for 40 minutes. To make the dough faster, you can put it in a bowl with a small amount of hot water.
- In a separate deep bowl we drive 2 chicken eggs, add 150 g of sugar and 1/4 tsp. salt. All ingredients are carefully rubbed.
- First, in a water bath, melt 200 g of butter or margarine and pour into a mixture of eggs and sugar. Continue to mix, then let stand until the dough is suitable. After 30-40 minutes, transfer the dough to a bowl with eggs and butter. Mix well and gradually add the remaining 500 g of flour.
- Knead the dough with your hands. Do not overdo it with flour, because then the dough will turn out too tight. The finished dough should remain soft and stick a little to your hands. We cover the dough with cling film and set in a warm place for 60 minutes.
- Sprinkle a flat, clean surface with flour and spread the approached dough. Knead the dough well with your hands and divide into 2 parts.
- From one part of the dough we form a sausage and divide it into almost identical pieces of 3-4 cm.
- From each piece of dough we roll out a rolling pin with a rolling pin 4-5 mm thick. Add flour if necessary.
- In a separate deep plate, mix 100 g of regular sugar with a bag of vanilla. Each circle of dough is lightly greased with vegetable oil. This is required so that sugar sticks better. Sprinkle sugar on top, using about 1-1.5 tsp for each circle. Sprinkle a circle of dough with sugar and roll it into a tube and fold in half. In the middle we make an incision and turn over 2 notched parts.
- We transfer the buns onto a baking sheet with baking paper, which we pre-grease with vegetable oil. Cover the buns with a clean towel or diaper and leave to stand for 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Before you put the buns in the oven, a little grease them with milk in places where there is no sugar. Bake buns for 25-30 minutes.
