Ingredients
- ready-made puff cakes - optional
- premium wheat flour - 40 g
- granulated sugar - 140 g
- milk of any fat content - 100 ml
- chicken egg - 1 pc.
- butter - 180 g
Step cooking
- First of all, about half an hour before the start of cooking, we remove 180 g of butter from the refrigerator and leave it in a warm place.
- In a deep dish, break one chicken egg.
- Pour 40 g of wheat flour and 140 g of granulated sugar there.
- Carefully grind the components with an ordinary fork until a homogeneous consistency is obtained.
- Pour 100 ml of milk at room temperature into the resulting mass and mix everything well again.
- Pour the liquid mixture into a stewpan or pan with a thick bottom, then send it to a low heat. With active and constant stirring of the mass with a whisk, cook it until thickened.
- We cover almost the finished cream with cling film so that there is no free space between it and the film, and then put it in the refrigerator for at least half an hour.
- In the cooled mass, add softened butter and whisk the ingredients thoroughly with a whisk.
- We divide neat store puff cakes into rectangles, the size of which will correspond to the desired size of future cakes. Grind pieces that are inadequate in size in a blender or grind in the palms to the state of crumbs. We take one rectangle and thoroughly lubricate it with cream.
- On top of it, lay out the second part of the cake, which is also plentifully greased with cream. Similarly, lay out and grease another 2-3 rectangular cakes.
- Grease the top of the cake with cream and sprinkle with cooked crumbs. You can immediately start tasting puff pastries, but it is better to send them in the refrigerator for at least 5 hours so that the cakes are well saturated with cream.
