Step cooking
- To prepare a potato cake, it is necessary to use not purchased cookies, but a self-cooked biscuit. The ingredients for the biscuit should not be cold, they must be taken out of the refrigerator a few hours before cooking.
- Sift 125 g of wheat flour, 30 g of cocoa powder, 6 g of salt and 8 g of baking powder into a bowl. Also add 150 g of granulated sugar to the dry ingredients and mix everything with a whisk.
- Next, add 30 g butter, 1 egg and 30 g vegetable oil to the dry ingredients.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly with a spatula, in this case you do not need to whip the mixture. Do not mix the dough for too long so that the biscuit does not become dense, just mix all the foods until smooth.
- Put the oven to heat up to 170 degrees and prepare the form, covering it with parchment. Pour the biscuit dough into a mold and bake it for 35-45 minutes. You can check the readiness of the biscuit with a toothpick.
- After you take the biscuit out of the oven, you need to completely cool it, and then turn the biscuit into crumbs using a blender.
- Next, you need to start cooking the cream. For it, you will need to take 380 g of boiled condensed milk, 100 g of butter and 30 g of cocoa powder. Transfer all ingredients to a dry bowl and beat until smooth with a mixer.
- Now mix the sponge cake with condensed milk cream and mix the mass well.
- Then divide the whole mixture into small balls of 70 grams. In order to conveniently share the mass, use a kitchen scale.
- Remove the formed balls for 15-20 minutes in the freezer, so that in the future it would be convenient to form them into cakes. After the time has passed, form the sausages.
- Next, roll part of the sausages in cocoa powder, and pour part of the chocolate icing.
- To prepare the glaze, you will need to melt 150 g of dark chocolate in the microwave in pulses of 10-20 seconds, then add 20 g of melted cocoa butter to it and mix until smooth.
- Dip each cake into the icing, remove it with a fork and let the glaze grasp, and then spread it on parchment. Then put the potato cake for a while in the refrigerator and let the icing grab a little, then serve with tea.
