Dough
- First you need to sift the flour.
- Add salt to the sifted flour and mix well. Add 100 g of odorless vegetable oil to the dough. Carefully rub the butter and flour into small crumbs. After that, pour in small portions of water and begin to knead the dough. We connect everything in one com. The dough should turn out quite dense, so do not rush to pour all the water at once. It may need more or less, depending on the characteristics of the flour.
- When the dough has gathered in a tight lump, we begin to knead on the table or on a silicone baking mat. It takes about 3-4 minutes.
- Put the dough in a clean bag and leave for at least 20 minutes.
Filling
- We peel the peel from the apples, although depending on their variety, this can not be done. Next, cut and remove the core and ponytails.
- Prepared apples are cut into medium-sized cubes and transferred to a bowl.
- So that the chopped apples do not darken, fill them with lemon juice and mix.
- Next, you need to make caramel. Pour sugar into a pan with a thick bottom and wait until it melts completely. The pan can be slightly twisted so that the sugar caramelizes faster. After that, we immediately send apples to the pan. Add ground cinnamon, 1 stick of cinnamon and 1 tsp. vanilla extract. Mix thoroughly.
- Apples need to be damped a little over high heat to allow excess moisture to evaporate. After that, turn off the stove, remove the cinnamon stick from the apples. We transfer the finished filling into a bowl and leave until completely cooled.
Pies
- We roll the rest of the dough with a roller and divide into 12 equal parts.
- We roll each piece of dough into a ball and flatten it into a cake. Cover the prepared cakes with cling film and leave for 10 minutes.
- Next, roll the cake into a long rectangular layer. We try to roll thinner, but not so much that it breaks.
- On top of the dough we spread about 1 tbsp. l toppings. Lubricate the edge of the cake with water and tuck one end with a triangle. Clamp carefully. Next, we wet the other edge with water and also tuck the dough. It is better to leave a small gap so that it is more convenient to pinch the pie. Put the prepared pies upside down on the board.
- Pour about 500 ml of oil into the pan. The oil level should reach half the pie.
- In a well-heated oil, spread the pies with the seam down and fry on each side for about 3-4 minutes over medium heat. Spread out very carefully so as not to get burned.
- Put the fried pies on a plate with paper towels so that they absorb the excess oil. Sprinkle the finished cakes with powdered sugar. Enjoy your meal!
