Step cooking
- Since dough is not required to prepare such pies, first we prepare the filling. To do this, pour about 2 liters of water into a stewpan or small saucepan and boil 8 eggs. After cooking, let them stand for a while to cool. For quick cooling, it is recommended to pour eggs with cold water. We clean the eggs boiled to a steep state from the husk and rub on a coarse grater. Pour them into a deep bowl, in which it will be convenient to mix the entire filling.
- A bunch of green onions are well washed and brushed off from excess moisture. Finely chop and pour into a bowl with grated eggs.
- Add salt to taste and add 4 tbsp. l mayonnaise. If you have time and desire, you can make mayonnaise yourself, or use a store mayonnaise.
- Mix all the ingredients for the filling thoroughly with a tablespoon. You can also add hard grated cheese and any other greens to your taste to your liking.
- Expand pita bread and cut into 4 identical squares. In total, you need 2 large pita breads to prepare the dish.
- We spread about 2 tbsp on each part of pita bread. l toppings. It is best to place it from one edge in the middle.
- We carefully wrap each pie so as not to break the pita bread.
- Water the baking sheet for 2-3 tbsp. l vegetable oil, evenly distributing it over the entire surface with a silicone brush.
- In a separate small bowl, beat 1 chicken egg with a fork.
- On the baking sheet we spread the pies from pita bread, greasing them with a beaten egg. Thus, the pies will turn out more ruddy and with a beautiful golden hue.
- Preheat the oven to 200 degrees and place a baking tray with pies. Bake them for 10-15 minutes.
- We transfer the finished cakes to a beautiful plate and serve to the guests along with tea. The pies are rosy, with crispy pita bread on top and a delicious and juicy filling inside. These pies are cooked quickly enough, and serve as a good alternative to pasties or regular pies. In this case, you can use any other filling to your taste.
