Step cooking
- In 120 grams of warm milk, dissolve 7-8 grams of granulated sugar and 5 grams of fast yeast. Mix and leave until the “cap” on the milk.
- Sift 350-400 grams of wheat flour into a deep bowl and add 2-3 grams of salt to it.
- In flour, add 100 grams of soft butter and rub the ingredients into the crumbs with your hands.
- Pour milk and yeast into the flour and knead a homogeneous soft dough.
- We place the finished dough in a plastic bag, tie and place in a refrigerator for two hours.
- Cut one fresh mackerel, cut off the tail and head, take out all the insides, wash it, remove the ridge and take out all the bones with tweezers. Cut the fish into small pieces. Peel and chop one onion in half rings. Add the onions to the mackerel, salt to taste and leave for at least half an hour.
- When the dough has lain, take it out of the refrigerator and divide it into two unequal pieces (one is bigger, the other is smaller). Grease a baking dish with sides 10 grams of vegetable oil. In the form we put that part of the dough, which is larger, and distribute it throughout the form.
- Spread mackerel with onions evenly on the dough.
- Roll out the second piece of dough with a rolling pin, put it on top of the mackerel, turn the edges down.
- We pierce the top of the pie with a fork.
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and set the cake for 25-30 minutes. When the cake is ready, cut it into portions and serve.

- Serve such a cake for tea both in cold and in hot form.
- Fresh mackerel pie can be decorated with dough figures.
- You can make pigtails. This decoration looks very beautiful and unusual. And to make them is very simple: weave braids from fresh dough and lay them out on top of the pie if desired.
