- Peel 6 tubers of raw large potatoes, rinse with running water. Cut into thin layers, then divide in half and cut into thin strips.
- Then peel one large or two medium onions, cut in half, then lengthwise into 4 parts and cut into thin cubes.
- Onions and potatoes are sent to a colander, put it on a deep bowl, add salt and black pepper to taste. After adding salt, the potato will begin to secrete juice. That is why we will leave it in a colander to let it drain.
- We pour tuna without oil into a convenient dish, knead the fish with a fork. Instead of tuna, you can use any other canned, oily fish of your choice. To make the cake as delicious as possible, it is very important to use oily fish.
- We divide the yeast dough into two parts. One of them should turn out more than another. Sprinkle flour on the work surface and roll out a large half of the yeast dough. We roll out a thin layer of dough suitable for the size of a baking sheet.
- We send the dough onto a baking sheet sprinkled with flour. We disband the layer so that the sides appear.
- Put the potatoes with onions in the first layer. You will see how much juice from it is glass, the filling turned out to be a bit dry, as required. Distribute the potatoes evenly over the dough.
- Now you can turn on the oven 180 degrees to heat up. On top of the potatoes we spread a layer of fish. Using a fork, distribute it evenly with a thin layer.
- Then cut the butter into thin slices and spread on top of the fish.
- Roll out the second part of the dough with a thin layer, spread it on the cake, spread it over the entire surface, pinch the edges of the upper and lower layers. For beauty, you can connect the edges with a beautiful pattern, for example, a pigtail.
- Beat one egg. This can be done with a whisk or a fork. Using a silicone brush, grease the surface of the cake with it. So after baking it will have a beautiful, golden color.
- Over the entire surface of the workpiece, we make 9 small cross-shaped incisions so that it does not break and is well baked.
- We send to the oven preheated by 180 degrees for 40 minutes. Then we get it, grease it with plenty of butter, cover it with parchment paper and a towel. Leave to rest for 5-10 minutes.
- Cut into portions and serve as an independent dish. You can eat it with a salad of fresh vegetables or your favorite drink.
