- Place a pot of water (600 ml) in the fire. Put a teaspoon of salt without a slide. Rinse the rice well (80 g). Boil the rice until cooked (about 20-25 minutes). Fold in a colander, leave to cool.
- Boil chicken eggs (3 pcs.) Hard (about 10 minutes after boiling water). Peel the cooled eggs, cut into cubes.
- Wash the greens (15 g - a small bunch), shake off excess water, dry on a paper towel. Chop finely. In the absence of dill, you can add parsley, chives, tarragon, basil to the filling.
- Transfer cooled rice, chopped eggs and chopped greens into a deep bowl (4-5 liter capacity).
- Add sour cream to the filling (3 tbsp. L.). Instead of sour cream, may be added mayonnaise or butter in a proportional amount.
- Stir the filling well. Salt to taste and pepper (pinch) the filling, mix again.
Test preparation
- Remove the dough from the freezer, thaw at room temperature. Divide the dough into two identical parts.
- Roll each piece into a square or rectangle (like a baking dish) about 5-7 mm thick.
Pie assembly
- Cover the baking dish or baking sheet with parchment paper, cut the edges of the paper so that they do not touch the walls of the oven. Transfer one of the rolled layers of dough to parchment.
- On top, place the entire filling, not reaching the edge of the dough plate 1 cm. Distribute the filling evenly.
- Cover with a second layer of dough. Press gently with your hands over the entire surface, expelling air. Pinch the edges of the cake.
- Paste the surface of the pie with a fork so that it does not “inflate” when baking.
- Beat the egg (1 pc.) With a fork.
- Brush the cake with a beaten egg using a cooking brush. If desired, sprinkle the top of the seeds with dill, caraway seeds, sesame seeds, and flax seeds.
- Put the cake in the oven, heated to a temperature of 180 ° C. Bake for 25-35 minutes.
- Cover the baked pie for 5-10 minutes with a clean linen kitchen towel to soften the crust. Cut the cooled cake into portions, serve.
