Step cooking
- First we take out 250 g of butter from the refrigerator and keep it at room temperature for half an hour to make it soft. Instead of butter, you can take margarine, but with butter it turns out tastier.
- Send the softened butter to a deep bowl, add 180 g of sugar and rub it with a spoon.
- Then add two yolks, mix again until smooth. It is better to separate the yolks in a separate bowl, make sure they are fresh, high-quality, and then send to the test.
- Then add one pinch of salt and 5 tablespoons of mayonnaise, mix everything thoroughly.
- Sift 500 g of flour into a separate bowl, add 2 g of vanillin and 1.5 tsp. baking powder and send it to the mass in small portions to make the dough soft, without lumps. Instead of baking powder, you can use soda. Then add 0.5 tsp to the oil mixture. 1 tsp slaked soda vinegar or lemon juice.
- Flour may need 30-50 g more, it all depends on the size of the yolks that you will use. Keep this in mind when kneading the dough. When all the flour has been added, knead the dough for 1-2 minutes with your hands. It will turn out homogeneous, soft, pliable.
- We cover the bowl with the dough with cling film and send it for half an hour to the refrigerator. If you do not have time to wait, you can immediately begin to form cookies.
- Prepare a manual meat grinder. We will remove the knife and the grate from it and put a special cookie mold. If you do not have such a shape, you can use a large grid.
- We take out the dough from the refrigerator, separate a piece from it and send it to a meat grinder. Scroll the handle of the meat grinder, a figured dough will appear from the grill.
- We cut it, making pieces of 7-8 cm. We separate the cookies from each other. If you are doing through a regular grid, then form the size that suits you.
- We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the cookie blanks on it, keeping a distance of 1.5 cm between them. We send it to bake in the oven, heated to 180 degrees, for 15 minutes. While baking, check that the cookies are ready, because the time it takes to bake will depend on your oven.
- From this number of ingredients, two cookie pans are obtained.
- We give the ready shortbread biscuit through the meat grinder to cool, put it on a plate and serve for tea.
