Kitchen appliances and utensils:
- pan with a lid;
- beaker;
- stove or hob;
- colander;
- spatula or stirring spoon;
- plates for giving.
Ingredients
Pearl barley | 1 stack |
Water | 5 stack |
Vegetable oil (odorless) | 1 tbsp. l |
Salt | 1/2 tsp |
Step cooking
- We carefully wash pearl barley (1 cup) under running water (under the tap). Pour 3 cups of water into a clean pot and place it on a stove or hob.
- When the water boils, add the well-washed previously barley.
- We bring the water to a boil again (already with pearl barley), and after that we cook the cereal for about 5 to 7 minutes. After a specified period of time, drain the water from the pan and discard the pearl barley in a colander (let it stand for a while in a colander so that the liquid is properly glass).
- Pour the remaining 2 glasses of water into a clean saucepan again, add 1 tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. l vegetable oil (odorless).
- We bring the water to a boil again and put our barley prepared in a special way into it.
- Mix the entire contents of the pan with a spoon or spatula. We cover the pan with a lid and cook the cereal for about 20 to 25 minutes (if the cereal does not break apart during this time, then you can cook for 30 minutes) over low heat.
- After a specified period of time, remove the pan from the fire, spread the cereal on plates, let it cool slightly and proceed to the meal. Enjoy your meal!
