vanilla sugar | 10 g |
Step cooking
- A few hours before cooking, we take out 100 g of butter from the refrigerator to make it soft. Together with the oil, we take out one large chicken egg, so that by the time it is cooked it has acquired room temperature. When the butter softens, put it in a bowl in which we will prepare the cookie dough, knead it with a spoon.
- Pour a bag of vanilla sugar (10 g) or a pinch of vanillin to the oil. We send 90 g of ordinary and brown sugar there. If you don’t find the latter, add as much of the usual instead, but brown gives the pastry a more original taste.
- Knead the butter and sugar with a spoon until a loose homogeneous mass is obtained - in it two types of sugar should mix well and stick to the butter. The mass will acquire a granular structure, become elastic, but so far it looks a little like dough. Drive one large egg at room temperature into the resulting mass. Mix and get a more liquid mixture, which we set aside for a while.
- Sift 200 g of flour into another wide bowl, add one teaspoon of corn starch to it (if you did not find corn, you can use potato), a pinch of salt and one teaspoon of soda. Mix everything well, and immediately pour all this loose mixture into a bowl with a sugar-oil mixture.
- We begin to knead the dough. Again, make it an ordinary spoon. After some time, we begin to observe in the bowl a loose mass that is quite similar to dough, which becomes more homogeneous as it is kneaded. The beauty of this test is that it can be kneaded without even getting your hands dirty, just with a spoon.
- Now let's get to the fun part: add chocolate chips to the dough. To do this, you can take small chocolate droplets, drops. This will greatly simplify the task - just measured out 100 g and poured into the dough. But if there are no drops, then you can completely dispense with the usual bar of chocolate - take whatever you like, black, milk, and even white will do. Grind it with a knife on the kitchen board to the state of small pieces. It’s not worth chopping into small crumbs, otherwise it will simply dissolve in the dough when baking, and we need chocolate droplets to be felt. Mix everything well.
- We take a small baking sheet (preferably of such a size that it fits in the refrigerator). We collect the dough with a spoon, form balls from it and put it in a baking sheet.
- We send the balls into the refrigerator for about an hour so that they cool well. So far, you can lay thicker, close, but before baking it will be necessary to arrange them in several baking sheets, so that they lie at a distance from each other, because when baking they will blur a little.
- We turn on the oven, let it warm up to 180 degrees and send the chilled cookies to bake for 20 minutes.
- We take out the finished cookies from the oven. Now it does not look like balls: having spread out, the cookies took the form of chubby cakes. Let it cool a little and after that we shift it to the dish.
