Step cooking
- In a deep bowl, beat a chicken egg (1 pc.).
- Sprinkle granulated sugar (150 g).
- Beat with a mixer until a smooth fluffy mass.
- Add melted butter (100 g) to the mixture, mix with a mixer.
- Pour cocoa powder (50 g) into a bowl, bring to a homogeneous state.
- In the resulting chocolate mass, put the baking powder for the dough (0.5 tsp).
- Add about a third of the sifted wheat flour to the bowl (a portion of the total amount of 200 g), stir the dough with a cooking spatula.
- Pour another two servings of flour into a bowl, add the next portion only after obtaining a homogeneous mass.
- Put the chopped walnut kernels (70-100 g) into the mass, knead the dough until the pieces of nuts are distributed throughout the composition.
- Lubricate the baking sheet with vegetable oil (20 ml) using a cooking brush so that parchment paper does not move when laying out the items. In order not to wash the baking sheet after baking, instead of lubricating it with vegetable oil, you can simply moisten the surface of the baking sheet with water a little. So parchment will not move either.
- Cover the pan with a sheet of parchment paper.
- Take a dough with a tablespoon and with wet hands form balls weighing about 30-40 g (in size, like a small mandarin).
- Put the balls of cookies on parchment paper, slightly press down with your fingers to make flat cakes. Place the baking sheet with the blanks in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Bake in an oven heated to 180 ° C for 10-15 minutes.
- Put the finished cookies on a plate.
In the dough, you can add not only walnuts, but also other nuts: almonds, hazelnuts, cashews, peanuts. As a filler, you can use raisins, dried fruits (finely chopped prunes, cherries, cranberries). To flavor the dough, use the zest of lemon or orange, vanilla sugar.
The external design of confectionery is of great importance - the more original the pastries are decorated, the more appetizing and attractive it looks. Ready cookies are decorated with icing sugar, colored sugar, icing, fondant of white or black chocolate, a net of caramel syrup. You can sprinkle your pastries with white and black sesame seeds, chopped nuts, coconut, or crushed candy.
