Step cooking
- Take 2 eggs and separate the whites from the yolks.
- Grind 1 cup unroasted nuts in a blender or chop into small crumbs with a knife.
- In 200 g of butter, add 1/3 cup sugar and beat with a mixer until a homogeneous, smooth mass is formed.
- While continuing to beat, add 0.5 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. vanilla sugar. Enter the egg yolks.
- In 3-4 steps, add 1.5 cups of pre-sifted wheat flour to the dough.
- The dough will turn out pretty dense, but if it will be hard to work with, you can put it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
- Whisk the egg white.
- Roll small balls the size of a walnut or a little smaller.
- Dip each ball into protein.
- Then break it into chopped walnuts.
- Cover the baking sheet with baking paper or grease with butter. Lay the balls on a baking sheet, leaving a gap of about 1.5 cm between them so that the cookies do not stick together during baking.
- Pressing in the center of the ball, make small indentations. To do this, you can use a teaspoon or a clean cap from a plastic bottle.
- Send the cookies to the oven preheated to 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Baking time depends on the size of the cookie, it should fully set and acquire a golden hue.
- After you take the cookies out of the oven while it is still hot, press again in the center.
- After cooling, fill the center of each cookie with jam or marmalade.
- No need to put this cookie in the refrigerator, as there it will become damp and lose its taste. Such cookies can be stored in open dishes at room temperature for several days.
These cookies can be presented on holidays to your friends or work colleagues. Prepare a box of cookies for your loved ones, and you can add it with fragrant tea or coffee, a set of nuts or dried fruits, and decorate with cones, spruce branches, cinnamon sticks and sugar canes.
