Step cooking
- Cut 100 g of butter into cubes, it should warm to room temperature and be soft. Put the butter in a bowl for the dough and pour ¼ cup sugar, about 50-60 g.
- Using a mixer, beat the butter and sugar until lush, white. It may turn out to be yellowish, it depends on the oil you have chosen.
- Gradually, using a sieve, sift 1 cup of flour into a bowl with an oil mass, constantly stirring the dough with your hand.
- Knead the dough with your hands longer, so that it turns out elastic and does not stick to your hands.
- When you have a well-kneaded ball of dough, pour a little flour on the working surface and roll out a dough with a rolling pin about half a centimeter thick.
- Then use the glass to squeeze the circles out of the rolled dough. So you shape the liver. If you have special cookie cutters, of course, use them. It can be stars, and hearts, and any other figures. Not necessarily cookies should be round.
- Remove excess dough that remains from the circles. Make a whole dough out of it and roll it again to the same thickness as before. Squeeze out of it the possible number of the same blanks for cookies.
- Cover the pan with parchment paper and place the dough circles on it at a distance of 1-2 cm from each other.
- Bake cookies in the oven at 180 ºС for about 10-15 minutes. Keep in mind that the smaller the cookies in size, the less time it will take to bake. At the same time, make sure that the cookies do not acquire a golden color, they must remain light.
- Then prepare the icing for your cookies. To do this, break the chocolate into pieces, put them in a saucepan. Add about 10 grams of butter and one tablespoon of cream or milk to melt the chocolate better.
- You can heat chocolate in a water bath or very low heat, stirring slightly. You should have a homogeneous chocolate mass, then let it thicken a little.
- Now cover the cookies with chocolate icing. You can dip each cookie halfway or fully into the icing. Put cookies directly on parchment paper to cool. If you have a pastry bag, pour the icing into it and pour the pastries on top. You can draw different patterns of chocolate on cookies. How else to make cookies with chocolate icing will tell you your imagination.
- Leave the cookies to solidify for about a couple of hours and start to try the finished sandwich delicacy in chocolate glaze.
At your request, you can add a little vanilla sugar or cinnamon to the cookie dough to enhance the taste. And the finished muffin, in addition to chocolate glaze, can be sprinkled with powdered sugar, chopped nuts or multi-colored confectionery powder. Chocolate-coated cookies can be served with milk, tea or coffee.
