Step cooking
Today we will bake cottage cheese and sour cream cookies, and it will be called “bananas” because we will give it the shape of an exotic fruit.
All ingredients should be at room temperature, so you should put them out of the refrigerator in advance.
- We take 200 grams of butter, beat with a mixer for five minutes, it should become light and lush. When buying a product in supermarkets, pay attention to its freshness, make a purchase in those outlets where you did it before and are confident in the quality or familiar with other products of the manufacturer. When the oil becomes lighter, add 100 grams of 20 percent sour cream and a pinch of fine salt to it, mix thoroughly with a mixer.
When buying a dairy product, pay attention to expiration dates, do not take expired ones, this will affect the quality of the cookies you want to cook.
- Sift 200 grams of flour and add a third of a teaspoon of soda to it. You can use a baking powder, but I like soda more. Now, through a strainer, sift the flour directly into a bowl with sour cream and butter, mix with a tablespoon, knead the dough, helping yourself with your hands. Ready dough should be soft, airy and not stick to your hands.
- From the finished dough we form small balls the size of a walnut. You can make balls and more, it depends on your preference. But usually children are attracted by small cookies. We lay out the formed balls on a large board sprinkled with flour, cover them with cling film and put them in the refrigerator for one hour.
- Now we move on to preparing the filling for the cookies. In one bowl, mix 150 grams of pasty cottage cheese, 20 grams of butter, a teaspoon of vanilla sugar, one egg yolk, previously separating it from protein.
- We mix this mixture with a tablespoon very carefully until the mass acquires a uniform consistency. If the cottage cheese is coarse-grained, then it is better to grind it through a sieve, therefore, when buying a product, pay attention to its appearance and freshness. At the end, add 30 grams of flour, mix the filling with a kitchen spatula until smooth. Cover the filling with cling film and send to the refrigerator.
- We begin to roll out balls for cookies. Each of them should be 1-2 mm thick, roll out more in length than in width. It should be an oval layer.
- We take the filling from the refrigerator, put one teaspoon of it on the formation, distribute it evenly on the surface of the formation, without reaching the edges. Then, on the one hand, we wrap the edge, make a roll, pinch open spaces, a little roll on the table.
- We give the liver a banana shape, put it on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. It is better to store cookie balls in the refrigerator, take them one at a time, and form banana cookies gradually. If the dough has become very hard, remember the ball slightly before rolling it in your hand. The dough will immediately become elastic, it will be easy to work with it. Do not spare the filling so that it does not remain. The dough does not break, the seams do not diverge.
- We turn on the oven at 170 degrees and send the baking tray with cookies there for 40-45 minutes, until they are slightly browned. We take out the baking sheet from the oven, let the liver cool, then sprinkle the powdered sugar on top. Our product is ready to serve. We spread it beautifully on the dish, treat the guests.
Cherries can become another filling option, only first you need to remove the juice from them. Of course, it’s difficult to make a banana shape for such a liver, but it also turns out to be very tasty. Your children will appreciate the confectionery product and will not give it a chance for long-term storage.
