Step cooking
- We send 280 g of whole-grain flour, 60 g of starch and one pinch of salt into a deep bowl, mix everything well.
- We take out the butter 15 minutes before the start of cooking from the refrigerator, cut into small pieces and send into flour. Instead of butter, you can take margarine or spread, but with butter, baking is tastier.
- Hands rub the butter and flour into crumbs.
- Add 150 ml of water, knead the dough. It will turn out soft, will not stick to your hands.
- We form a rectangle from it, wrap it with cling film and send it to the refrigerator for one hour.
- After this time, we take out the dough, roll out a rectangular layer from it using a rolling pin.
- Then we raise the dough, sprinkle sugar on the work surface, and even it to the size of the dough sheet.
- On top of the sugar we put the dough and again we pass along it with a rolling pin so that the sugar sticks.
- Then turn the sheet on the other side for sugar.
- Using a ruler and a figured knife, we cut out square cookies, about 5-7 cm each. If you do not have a figured knife, you can make arbitrary shapes, for example, just squares or triangles.
- We cover the baking sheet with parchment paper, spread the cookies, between them we leave spaces of about 1-2 cm and put in the oven. Bake at 190 degrees for 15 minutes.
- Then we take it out of the oven, let it cool, put it on a plate and serve for tea. They can be stored in a closed container for two days. Such cookies are very popular with both adults and children.
