Step cooking
- Break two large chicken eggs into a deep bowl (4 liters or more). Pour 200 grams of granulated sugar into a bowl (it is better to take fine crystalline sugar). Beat eggs with sugar in a culinary whisk until a fluffy light mass is obtained. Sugar in the mass should disperse, however, if there is a certain amount of undissolved sugar left - it’s okay, it will dissolve when mixing the dough. Melt 200 grams of creamy margarine over low heat or in the microwave. If desired, you can replace the margarine with butter in the same amount.
- Pour 350 grams of premium wheat flour into a sieve mug (or a sieve of a different shape), add 1 teaspoon of baking powder for the dough. Sift the flour mixture into a bowl with a liquid portion. Put 8 grams of vanilla sugar (instead of vanilla sugar you can use vanilla, vanilla essence).
- Knead the dough with a whisk, when it becomes too thick, mix it with your hands. If the dough is slightly liquid, add more flour from the remaining 100 grams. Form a ball from the dough. Wrap the resulting soft, elastic dough with cling film or put in a plastic bag, send for proofing for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Remove the cooled dough from the refrigerator, unfold from the film (or plastic bag), divide into two approximately equal parts.
- On a cooking mat (silicone) dusted with flour from the amount left over from the batch, put one part of the dough. Roll the mass into a layer approximately 4-5 mm thick.
- Sprinkle the surface of the rolled cake with sugar (100 grams), roll the sugar layer with a rocking chair, so that the sugar is pressed into the top layer of the dough. If desired, you can mix sugar with chopped nuts or peanuts, so the cookies turn out even tastier.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out cookies. You can use iron, plastic molds for cutting. In case you don’t have any tins, use a glass or a glass of a size suitable for you. Repeat all steps with the second part of the test.
- Cover the baking sheet with a sheet of baking paper, transfer the cookies to the baking sheet at a small distance from each other. Bake in an oven heated to a temperature of 180 ° C for about 15-18 minutes. The exact baking time depends on the operation of your oven.
Such shortbread cookies can be decorated with icing, melted chocolate, painted with flowers or various decor from confectionery mastic. Such pastries with milk, tea, cocoa are very tasty.
