Step cooking
- If you have purchased 700 g of frozen beef liver, you must first thaw it at room temperature and remove the film from all sides. If you skip this preparatory stage, the liver will turn out to be very stiff, no matter how long you put it out.
- Cut the liver into long, narrow strips with a thickness of not more than 6-7 mm. If the stripes of the liver are too wide or long, cut them in half. The optimal length of each piece is 3-4 cm.
- Transfer the beef liver into a deep plate and pour 1 cup of milk. Leave the liver to stand for 30 minutes, so that it becomes a little softer and more tender.
- While the liver is infused, we cut 2 medium onions into quarters with a thickness of about 3-4 mm.
- Add 30 g butter to the multicooker bowl and select the “Frying” mode, setting the timer for 15 minutes.
- After 2 minutes, when the butter is completely melted, add chopped onion. Immediately put on the soaked liver to the onion. It must be added without milk, otherwise the dish will turn out to be too watery.
- Fry onion with liver, periodically mixing the ingredients with a spatula. It is necessary that all pieces of the liver are evenly fried on all sides.
- After a quarter of an hour, add 2 tbsp to the multicooker bowl. l tomato paste and 1 cup sour cream. The proportions of sour cream and tomato paste can be adjusted independently to your taste.
- Salt the ingredients in the multicooker, add 1.5 tsp. table salt, and season to taste with black pepper. The latter will be enough 1/2 tsp.
- To all the ingredients add 1 tbsp. l wheat flour, and mix everything thoroughly.
- Close the multicooker lid, select the “Extinguishing” mode and set the timer for half an hour.
- After 30 minutes, the beef liver is completely ready. It turns out juicy, tasty, and its structure is quite soft and tender. Serve liver stewed in sour cream with boiled rice or mashed potatoes. Top can be decorated to taste with chopped fresh herbs. The recipe is versatile, and so you can cook chicken and pork liver.
