Ingredients
Chicken liver | 500 - 600 g |
Onion | 1 PC. |
Sour cream | 4 tbsp. l |
Wheat flour | 1 tbsp. l |

Butter | 40 g |
Hot water | 150 ml |
Step cooking
- We clean large onions (1 pc.), Rinse under running water and cut into half rings with a sharp knife.
- We put the pan on the fire and melt a piece of butter in it (about 40 g). We put the onions in the pan after the butter has melted, and fry it until light golden.
- We wash the chicken liver and clean it of fillets. Cut it into medium-sized pieces and send it to a browned onion. Fry the liver on each side for about one minute.
- When the liver is completely fried, add salt and black pepper to taste (to taste), as well as 1 tbsp. spoon of flour. After we add the flour, the entire contents of the pan must be quickly and thoroughly mixed with a spatula so that the flour is well absorbed.
- Then pour 150 ml of hot water into the pan. Mix. We cover the pan with a lid and leave its contents to simmer for about 4 - 5 minutes over low heat. After a specified period of time, add 4 tbsp to the pan. l sour cream (of any fat content) and again quickly mix all its contents. Again, cover the pan with a lid and simmer the liver with sour cream for about 1 minute.
- Turn off the heat and let the dish stand for a few more minutes. Then we open the lid, lay the dish on plates and proceed to the meal.
Decoration and serving
The liver should be served hot with any side dish to your taste: noodles, boiled potatoes, rice, pearl barley or buckwheat, etc. When serving, it should be decorated with chopped fresh herbs. You can also sprinkle the dish on top with freshly chopped garlic. Enjoy your meal!
