Step cooking
- The amount of onion depends on how much you love it and how much liver you will use. We clean the onion, rinse, cut into rings of medium thickness.
- Pour about 3 tablespoons of sunflower oil into the pan, put the onion in it, dividing it into rings. If you want the finished dish to turn out with gravy, pour more vegetable oil. We send the pan to medium heat, let it heat and fry the onion until transparent. While the onion is fried, prepare the liver.
- We took about 700 grams of beef liver. But according to this recipe, you can put out absolutely any liver. We recommend soaking the liver before cooking in cold water for 1-2 hours. Thus, unnecessary blood will come out of it, and the finished liver will certainly not be bitter. Then we take it out, dry it, cut it into layers of about 7 centimeters long and 8 mm thick. During the cutting, we cut out all the hard veins that may come across.
- Pour 100-150 g of flour into a convenient dish, add one teaspoon of salt and mix. Roll the whole chopped liver in flour.
- We spread it on the onion, after shaking off the excess flour, reduce the heat to medium and fry for one minute.
- Then turn the liver on the other side and fry for another minute. The liver will show that it is fried, there will be no blood spots on it.
- After a minute, mix the liver with onions and fry for 20 seconds, stirring constantly. After that, remove from heat and serve.
You probably noticed that the liver was fried for only two and a half minutes. This time is enough to make it well-fried, but at the same time, it remains soft and juicy. Remember that the longer the liver fries, the harder it becomes. This option of frying is universal for any type of liver. Indeed, it will require a minimum of ingredients and a minimum of time, and the result is a very tasty and healthy dish. If desired, you can season it with a variety of spices.
- Put the finished liver on a plate and sprinkle chopped green onions on top. You can offer any side dish to it. But it is best to serve a salad of fresh vegetables seasoned with vegetable oil.
