Preparatory stage
- First you need to prepare all the necessary ingredients. Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Then we clean the shrimp from the heads, tails and entrails, if necessary, because you can buy already peeled.
- Next, we need mashed tomatoes. Some people cook them on their own in the form of preservation for the winter, but if you are not one of them, canned mashed tomatoes can be easily bought at any supermarket.
- We also peel 3 cloves of garlic from the husk and chop it very finely, or chop it with the help of the garlic.
Cooking pasta
- Pour about 1-1.5 water into the pan, add a little salt and bring to a boil. We put spaghetti in boiling water and cook until tender.
- While the water is warming and the spaghetti is boiling, we put a frying pan with a thick bottom on the stove and add 2 tbsp. l vegetable oil.
- Put shrimps on a well-heated pan and fry a little. When the prawns are fried on one side, turn them over and fry them on the other. We shift the finished shrimp onto a flat plate.
- Then, in the same pan, fry finely chopped onions and garlic, not forgetting to mix thoroughly. It is very important to prevent garlic from being burnt, as this will negatively affect the aroma and taste of the finished dish.
- When the onion becomes transparent, add 150 g of mashed tomatoes and 1/2 tsp. ground pepper, dried oregano and basil. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and bring the sauce to a boil.
- When the sauce has begun to boil, put the fried shrimp to it, mix, cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.
- When the spaghetti has boiled, we discard them in a colander and let the liquid drain, then return to the pan. We spread the sauce to spaghetti and mix thoroughly. We lay out the finished dish in portioned plates and, if desired, decorate with slices of fresh tomatoes and finely chopped greens. Enjoy your meal.
