- Preparing to freeze sea buckthorn for the winter in the freezer, choose high-quality fruits, make sure that there are no damaged, rotten berries. Sort the berries of sea buckthorn, clean them from leaves, unnecessary elements. Rinse the fruits of sea buckthorn under cold running water. Let the moisture go away. To do this, put sea buckthorn on a clean kitchen towel and wait until it dries completely.
- Put in a separate bowl 500 grams of already prepared sea buckthorn, pour it with sugar. This will require 500 grams of sugar (1: 1 ratio).
- Using a kitchen silicone spoon, in order not to damage the fruits of sea buckthorn, mix it with sugar thoroughly: so that the sugar fully covers all the fruits, the mass looks homogeneous. Take out the bag to freeze.
- Open the bag, place the sea buckthorn mixed with sugar with a kitchen spoon. Release excess air from the bag. Close the zip lock. Put the bag on the work surface and level the sea buckthorn berries so that they lie in the bag in an even layer.
- Take a package filled with sea buckthorn at two opposite angles, trying not to disturb the position of the fruit, place the package in the freezer.
