Kitchen appliances and utensils
- 1.5 liter glass jar;
- kitchen scales and other measuring accessories;
- capacious deep bowl;
- gauze fabric;
- cotton wool.
Ingredients
- plums - 1 kg
- high-quality vodka or moonshine (with a strength of 45-50 rpm) - 500 ml
- granulated sugar - 150 g
Step cooking
- First of all, thoroughly rinse with running cold water about 1 kg of ripe and juicy plums, while removing the tails and spoiled fruits. We lay the washed berries on paper towels and wipe dry.
- We carefully wash the glass jar for preparing the tincture, and then dry it naturally - turn it upside down and put it in a ventilated place.
- We send the prepared berries to a jar, after which we fill the fruits with high-quality vodka or double distillation moonshine that have undergone thorough purification. Alcohol should completely cover the berries, so fill it to the very neck of the vessel.
- We seal the container tightly with a tight nylon cap and transfer the tincture to a dark place protected from sunlight. We insist on the product for 1.5 months, during which from time to time we shake the contents of the jar.
- After the specified time, drain the alcoholic liquid, then filter it through a gauze and cotton filter. This alcohol is already suitable for tasting. Add sugar in a jar with plums, based on the calculation of 150 g per 1 liter.
- We return the plums back to a dark place, where they are kept for 1 week. Within a week, the sugar will dissolve, and plum nectar forms in the jar. We thoroughly filter the nectar, and then mix it with tincture. As a result, home-made alcohol will acquire a very beautiful color, a refined plum aroma and a similar taste.
