Step cooking
- Aronia berries - 1 kg - put in a prepared container. Pour into it half the norm of vodka - 0.5 liters.
- In the rest of the vodka (0.5 l) stir 1 full tablespoon of honey. Instead of honey, you can use sugar - not more than 100 g per liter (otherwise it will be sooooo sweet). Add 3 buds of cloves to the container - they will give the drink a unique piquancy.
- An unusual ingredient is oak chips. It can be pre-soaked in sherry, then 1 kg of berries should be put an incomplete tablespoon of soaked chips. If the chips are not soaked, then about a third of a tablespoon.
- We also pour 0.1 l of cognac into the container. Close the lid.
- The drink should be infused for 2 months. After this time, on the same mountain ash you can make tincture again. To do this, drain the finished drink, and pour the berries again with the same composition.
Useful Tips
- Only fresh aronia berries are used in the liquors. It is best to collect them after the first frost - then the drink will not be bitter.
- Drinks from this berry have the property of lowering the pressure, so you need to use them with caution, especially to those who are prone to low blood pressure.
- Those who like to experiment can try adding cherry, raspberry or blackcurrant leaves, vanilla pod, lemon, cardamom, ginger root to such a liquor.
