French snack buns from custard dough are prepared with a variety of fillings: meat, fish, vegetable, cottage cheese, egg, cheese, mushroom and other. Vegetable salads from finely chopped ingredients (they are not recommended to take watery vegetables or liquid dressings for salads), meat salads, vegetable and mushroom mixes are also used as a filler.
For the filling, any masses that go for stuffing eggs are suitable. Profiteroles are a great alternative to daily sandwiches, an interesting addition to the holiday menu.
It is recommended to start buns from custard dough immediately before serving so that the dough does not absorb liquid from the filling and is not wet. Spicy or salty profiteroles are offered as an independent snack. They can also be served with soups, broths, main dishes, with salads.
