Step cooking
- To prepare a dish, you will need chicken thighs or chicken, but you should know that from the first dish it turns out juicier. The meat must be preliminarily prepared by thoroughly washing the hips under running water, removing the skin and removing all the veins. If you purchased chicken thighs on bones, then you need to cut it so that only the meat remains. For the dish you will need approximately 500 g of chicken thighs.
- Pieces of prepared chicken are laid out on a cutting board, covered with cling film from above. Using a kitchen hammer, gently beat off the meat. The main task is to break the meat into a flat layer, which is evenly baked.
- Chopped pieces of chicken on both sides, salt and season with black pepper to taste. It is also possible to season 2 tsp chicken thighs. dried dill and a similar amount of oregano.
- Before baking the meat, fry it in a pan until half cooked. To do this, pour 1-2 tbsp into the pan. l vegetable oil, and after heating it, spread the chicken thighs. Fry on each side for 1 minute over medium heat, so that the meat takes on a crust.
- Remove the lightly fried chicken thighs from the pan and transfer to a flat plate. We will bake meat in French with potatoes. To do this, you need 4-5 medium potatoes, which we peel, rinse and cut into large cubes.
- We shift the chopped potatoes into a small pan, pour 1-1.5 liters of water and wait for the potatoes to boil. After boiling, cook on low heat for about 10 minutes, so that the potatoes are half cooked.
- While preparing potatoes, we are preparing onions. We need 4 heads of onions. First we cut it into 2 halves, then moderately thin half rings. You can also cut the onions into quarter rings.
- We put the chopped onions into a baking dish and season 150 g of mayonnaise.
- On a coarse grater, rub about 70 g of gouda cheese. Add the grated cheese to the onion with mayonnaise, and mix everything well.
- At the bottom of a clean baking dish, spread 200 g of mayonnaise and add pre-boiled potatoes. All mix well.
- On top of the potatoes we spread the chicken thighs.
- Top with onions, mixed with mayonnaise and grated cheese. Rub another 80 g of gouda cheese on a coarse grater and sprinkle all the ingredients on top of it.
- In an oven preheated to 180-190 degrees, set the baked meat in French with potatoes. Everything will be baked for about half an hour.After 30 minutes, the meat in French with potatoes is completely ready. The potato is obtained quite succulent and saturated with chicken juice. The meat is soft, and a beautiful cheese crust forms on top. You can serve meat in French with mushroom salad or any other that you like best.
