Step cooking
- First, we cut 700 grams of chicken fillet not too thick, but not thin slices. We cut the meat across the fibers, the thickness of the pieces should be approximately 4-5 mm.
- Two medium onions are peeled, washed under cold water with a tap. On a cutting board, cut the onion in half rings, remove so far to the side.
- Now prepare the meat sauce. In a small container, mix two tablespoons of mayonnaise and four tablespoons of sour cream of any fat content. We peel two cloves of garlic, peel them under the tap, through the press we pass the garlic directly into a bowl of sour cream and mayonnaise. Garlic will add spice to the dish. Here we add a teaspoon of paprika, which will provide the product a beautiful color.
- Grate 200 grams of hard cheese. I used a mixture of cheeses, and you can take any hard cheese that is in your refrigerator. We need 200 grams of cheese. Add half the grated cheese to the dishes, where we prepare the fillet sauce, carefully mix the ingredients with a tablespoon.
- I wash half a bunch of green onions under the tap, cut on a cutting board, add to the sauce, mix. You can add any spices, herbs that you prefer. Grease a deep baking dish with two tablespoons of vegetable oil, spread the first layer. These will be pieces of chicken. We lay the meat very tightly, do not allow any gaps. Salt and pepper it, using about half a teaspoon of salt and black pepper all over the surface on one side — that's enough.
- Then put the half of the cooked sauce on top and distribute it evenly over the meat.
- Now we spread the onion, sliced in half rings, salt and pepper to taste.
- The next layer will again be the chicken, then the remaining half of the sauce, onion on top in half rings. The final layer of the product will consist of the remaining hard cheese.
- We send the form with the product into the oven, heated to 190 degrees with convection, for 25 minutes. If not, cook the meat for about 5-7 minutes longer.
- Chicken meat is cooked very quickly, so try not to overexpose it in the oven. When the cheese is browned, after 25 minutes we take out the form with the product, cut into portions, and can serve.
Useful Tips
- To beat off the chicken, as was done with pork, there is no need, the chicken meat itself is very soft.
- Mayonnaise and sour cream of any percentage of fat content can be used.
- If the fillet sauce seems too fat for you, you can replace the sour cream with yogurt or remove mayonnaise.
- If you want a softer onion, you can spasser it in vegetable oil. Oil should be used in a minimal amount, as sour cream and mayonnaise will give a greater fat content to the dish.
